The Columbia Gorge chapter held its first in-person meetings March 16 at the Bargeway Pub in The Dalles and May 19 outdoors at Sorosis Park, also in The Dalles. The chapter was a sponsor of the North Central Livestock Association “Bull Tour” on April 16, and several chapter members attended the livestock and ranch tour. No high school scholarship will be awarded this year, but a local teacher has been selected for a scholarship to attend Summer Ag Institute: Jennifer Scotland, who is a 6th-8th grade science teacher at Mosier Community School in Wasco County. This scholarship is jointly sponsored by the Wasco County Soil and Water Conservation District. The chapter is planning to do a fruit cobbler and ice cream social fundraiser in August at the Dufur Car Show.
