The Columbia Gorge Chapter has had an enjoyable fall and beginning of winter! In October we had a business meeting to make plans for 2017 and review our projects from 2016. We decided to change our meeting schedule for 2017. Meetings will be held at Casa El Mirador, a fun Mexican resturant in The Dalles on the second Tuesday of the month. We will meet in the months of January, March, May, September, and November. Join us at 5pm for dinner with our meeting starting at 5:30pm.
November is when our annual social is held. This year we gathered at the Historic Balch Hotel in Dufur, OR to enjoy a night of relaxation and great company! The evening started with drinks by the firepit, followed by dinner, door prizes and we made fun essential oil mixes to take home. It was great having 6 new guests join us for the evening too!
We are excited to share that we have ordered 60 more Get Oregonized textbooks to be placed in the Dry Hollow School 4th grade classrooms. Teachers and students will no longer have to share textbooks between classrooms!
No meeting was held in December. Columbia Gorge Chapter will be electing new officers in early 2017!
