The Lane County chapter is now offering a $500 Scholarship to a Lane County FFA chapter. The application will be sent out to advisors and set up on the OWA website, under our chapter page.
June 5th, we held our annual fundraiser at the Function 4 Junction show and shine. We sold root beer floats and held a raffle for an OWA Pendleton blanket. It was a fun time and nice to see a lot of people out and about again. We made a profit of over $800 in a little over 5 hours. Thank you to all the volunteers and a special thank you to Lochmead for supplying the award-winning ice cream.
Our chapter’s new slate of officers became official on June 13th at our annual end of year BBQ. We are lucky to have Sarah Puls as President, Crystal Freeman as Vice President, Marketing & Social Media, Loretta Pearce as Treasurer, and Jessica Anderson as Secretary. Thank you Kelsy Pimm for your time as Secretary and we wish you well with your move to the Linn-Benton chapter.
I want to say “Thank you” to the Lane County chapter. It has been an amazing two years as your President. Thank you, ladies, for guiding me and helping me keep our mission alive and strong in Lane County. I could not have done it without you all. I can’t wait to see what’s next for our chapter.
We are off for the summer and our next chapter meeting will be in October.
