Happy New Year!
We all enjoyed taking December off from meetings to be with family and friends but we did take time to have two successful fundraisers: tree decorating with Pape in Tangent and Harrisburg and we sold 32 pies from Coldstone. We also donated a portion of the Points for Profit money from last year to the Santiam Christian FFA greenhouse project. Our January 8th meeting was held at the home of Martha Glaser.
This year’s theme was made in America, so we did some searching and making ornaments to truly have this be a made in USA Christmas Tree, including the tree! On February 12th we will have our annual catered dinner meeting with a slide show put together by member, Shawn Wells. She visited Africa last summer and created a short movie for our entertainment. We will also find out how we did on our Points for Profit Fundraiser for 2012 and we want to thank all OWA members for saving receipts all year.
